On the charts generated from clicking on a symbol, the phrase “price added” is on the bottom and is not explained.

The phrase “price added” shows the price of the stock/mutual fund/ETF when you put it on your list for monitoring.  The purpose of this information is twofold:

1. The tracking price or “added” price gives you a baseline for a performance scorecard which is useful for paper trading.

2. If the dot changes color after you place it on your list, you will have another price point to use for comparison. If you get in the habit of keeping notes of price points, you will become a better investor since you’ll be able to look at past data and learn from it.
